Tenby Golf Club holds a distinctive place in the history of Welsh golf, conceived by the renowned James Braid, a five-time British Open Champion, evolved to feature 18 holes in 1907. It also played a crucial role as a founding member of the Welsh Golfing Union. This magical club across the estuary from its more famous neighbour - Aberdovey - is often overlooked, but loved by all who visit. Borth is a charming out and back links, a series of holes bisected by the road as you head into the town, with the holes in the dunes out of sight until you turn the corner on the 5th hole, a par 5, at which point they reveal themselves. First stop on our travels through Wales is Welshpool just across the border from England, on the rolling hillside above the town. Sunningdale Heath were introduced to renowned graffiti artists Troika paint, to explore how they could collaborate to bring something unique to the Golf Club. Sunningdale Heath is always striving to create an inclusive and fun atmosphere at the club, what better way to do this than through art. Fair to say this has never been done at a Golf Club before.
