Sunningdale Heath were introduced to renowned graffiti artists Troika paint, to explore how they could collaborate to bring something unique to the Golf Club. Sunningdale Heath is always striving to create an inclusive and fun atmosphere at the club, what better way to do this than through art. Fair to say this has never been done at a Golf Club before. We spent the week with Royal Liverpool links manager James Bledge on throughout the 151st Open Championship as well as on the lead up to the event. This film is chronicles the work by James and his team, as well as the volunteers from up and down the country who flocked to Royal Liverpool tto lend a hand. The club was established in 1869 making it the oldest 9 hole links in England. The course was designed by the famous Scottish golfer Mungo Park, winner of the 1874 Open Championship at Musselburgh. He was also the club's first professional/greenkeeper. We stopped by here after a game at Goswick last year, and having been told about it by Ronan Rafferty we just couldn't resist. We're so glad we did. This 9 hole layout is the epitome of simplicity. 5 holes away, and 4 coming back, almost like a miniature version of The Old Course at St Andrews with Granny [...]
