In Part 1, we talk through his early life in golf, being the son of a professional golfer, his journey from a 23 handicapper to winning the Amateur at Canton Golf Club. This victory led him to play at Augusta National for the Masters and playing with the great Arnold Palmer. We then dive into his team appearances and beating Tiger Woods in the Walker Cup and Royal Porthcawl.   https://youtu.be/5be7S728-gc

From our time up at Ganton with GB&I's most decorated amateur golfer - Gary Wolstenholme - we managed to talk him into a filmed round amidst the bright yellow gorse. Ganton is a place of huge significance for Gary, not just where he won The Amateur Championship in 1991, but also where he played Walker Cup and Home Internationals. A happy hunting ground indeed. Over/under 73.5 is the target!   https://youtu.be/RG4wr7tytUw

Floridian Adventure Pt 4: TPC Sawgrass

2025-03-12T15:19:35+00:00March 12th, 2025|Video|

The final stop on our Floridian Adventure takes us to the crown jewel of the state’s public golf and the stage for this week’s Players Championship. Built on 415 acres of swamp for just $1, TPC Sawgrass redefined tournament golf. The Tour’s goal was simple—create a ‘Stadium Course’ where fans could get closer to the action. Pete and Alice Dye made it happen, sculpting a layout that blends bold earthworks with razor-sharp strategy. Every shot at Sawgrass is a test. The best angles flirt with danger, while safer routes leave tougher tasks ahead. It’s strategic, punishing, and never short on [...]

Floridian Adventures Pt 3: Winter Park

2025-03-12T15:18:15+00:00March 12th, 2025|Video|

In part III of our series we look at the world famous but community centred Winter Park, affectionately known as WP9. A course that in 2014 received $1m of funding from the City of Orlando, which was spent on reviving this much loved community course and breathing new life into it. One cut height, and greens that each pose an interesting question meant that this little 9-holer on the cobbled streets of Winter Park is the poster child for sustainable golf in the US. Thanks as always to our series sponsor Halcyon Golf Travel and FootJoy!   https://youtu.be/naUgtEV2ZJo

Despite its short length, we firmly believe that Sunningdale Heath offers golfers of all abilities a test and more often than not, requires you to hit far more shots in the bag!
