Sam, Tom, Luke & Peter travel north to one of the most northerly clubs on the British mainland, and a course which we have been dying to visit for years now. Several trains, a few scary car journeys, 40 mph winds and lashings or rain didn't stop us. Huge thanks to Ali and the team at Durness for allowing us to do this and for making us feel so welcome! You can check out Durness on their socials @durnessgolfclub or their website: https://www.durnessgolfclub.org/   https://youtu.be/0chmis-NCMw

The Sacred Nine: Royal Worlington & Newmarket

2025-07-14T22:46:52+00:00July 14th, 2025|Video|

Royal Worlington & Newmarket - often referred to as the 'sacred nine' is one of the country's most loved venues. A potent nine hole course. Exceptional simple on paper but endlessly fascinating. With its small traditional clubhouse, it can often feel like you're playing golf in someone house at times. We spent the day there back in the spring and filmed a podcast with Michael Morrison (club historian) & Nigel Notley (club archivist) to uncover a bit more on the history of the club and the course, as well as all of the other little facets of the club that [...]

Ganton is a place of huge significance for Gary, not just where he won The Amateur Championship in 1991, but also where he played Walker Cup and Home Internationals. A happy hunting ground indeed. Over/under 73.5 is the target!   https://youtu.be/RG4wr7tytUw

2025-03-12T15:19:35+00:00March 12th, 2025|Video|

The final stop on our Floridian Adventure takes us to the crown jewel of the state’s public golf and the stage for this week’s Players Championship. Built on 415 acres of swamp for just $1, TPC Sawgrass redefined tournament golf. The Tour’s goal was simple—create a ‘Stadium Course’ where fans could get closer to the action. Pete and Alice Dye made it happen, sculpting a layout that blends bold earthworks with razor-sharp strategy. Every shot at Sawgrass is a test. The best angles flirt with danger, while safer routes leave tougher tasks ahead. It’s strategic, punishing, and never short on [...]
