Welcome to Floridian Adventures, a golf travel series exploring some of the Sunshine State’s finest courses. In Part 1, we dive into Streamsong Resort, a golfing paradise unlike any other in Florida. Streamsong Resort is the only destination in the world with courses designed by three of the biggest names in modern golf course architecture: Red Course – Designed by Bill Coore & Ben Crenshaw (Strategic, rugged, links-style) Blue Course – Designed by Tom Doak (Sweeping elevation, bold bunkering) Black Course – Designed by Gil Hanse (Expansive, dramatic, visually stunning). Unlike the flat terrain typical of Florida golf, Streamsong is [...]

An Afternoon at Sunningdale Heath

2025-03-12T15:40:40+00:00October 11th, 2024|Events, Video|

Some highlights from a wonderful afternoon at Sunningdale Heath. 36 golfers assembled for some drinks, fourball golf with rounds completed in well under 3 hours and the finest bacon sandwich in the business. Congratulations to Elaine who took the spoils and Peter Handcock as lowest gross with 58. Despite its short length, we firmly believe that Sunningdale Heath offers golfers of all abilities a test and more often than not, requires you to hit far more shots in the bag! Pennard – Wales Tour 2024

2024-08-16T10:58:13+00:00August 16th, 2024|Video|

The final instalment from our Welsh Tour in partnership with ‪@FootJoy‬ It’s been a blast visiting some of the best Wales has to offer, and Pennard with the sun poking its head out for the last hole was a fitting ending to a magical trip. Pennard, for those that have not heard anything about it, is one of the lost extraordinary courses you can see. A landscape not dissimilar to the moon. A huge thanks to the club for allowing us to make this. It’s been a huge privilege. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=383iQ_4QO_M

Tenby Golf Club – Wales Tour 2024

2024-08-16T10:56:26+00:00August 16th, 2024|Video|

Tenby Golf Club holds a distinctive place in the history of Welsh golf, conceived by the renowned James Braid, a five-time British Open Champion, evolved to feature 18 holes in 1907. It also played a crucial role as a founding member of the Welsh Golfing Union. When we arrived at 11pm to total darkness and saw the recently refurbed accomodation, and all the trappings of luxurious staycations we didn't quite know what to expect from Tenby - perhaps worrying that they prioritised the off-course aspects over the links itself. We could not have been more wrong, and the fact that [...]

Aberdovey – Wales Tour 2024

2024-08-16T10:55:20+00:00August 16th, 2024|Video|

Golf has been played at Aberdovey since 1892 when a rudimentary version of the game was played to flower pots, borrowed from a local house out in the links. One of its then members was none other than Bernard Darwin, the greatest golf correspondant of all time who wrote extensively about the game, and where Aberdovey held a special place in his heart. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W714SoKBE8&t=28s

Borth & Ynyslas – Wales Tour 2024

2024-08-16T10:53:01+00:00August 16th, 2024|Video|

This magical club across the estuary from its more famous neighbour - Aberdovey - is often overlooked, but loved by all who visit. Borth is a charming out and back links, a series of holes bisected by the road as you head into the town, with the holes in the dunes out of sight until you turn the corner on the 5th hole, a par 5, at which point they reveal themselves. We loved spending time here, and urge anyone travelling through this part of Wales to make the pilgrimage! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qWPYZsb15g

Royal St Davids Golf Club – Wales Tour 2024

2024-08-16T10:51:51+00:00August 16th, 2024|Video|

Royal St David's - more affectionately known as 'Harlech' - is a truly unique place. Golf has been played here since 1894 when Harold Finch-Hatton was initially using the land to practice his boomerang skills on the links. The club was generally a second club for people heading to the coast, much like Westward Ho! We had a superb time here, having stopped over in town after Welshpool we were on the links at first light, with an afternoon game lined up at Borth & Ynyslas! The 750 year old castle that sits above the links at all times has [...]

Welshpool Golf Club – Wales Tour 2024

2024-08-16T10:50:45+00:00August 16th, 2024|Video|

First stop on our travels through Wales is Welshpool just across the border from England, on the rolling hillside above the town. Welshpool was designed by James Braid in 1929 and features some extraordinary views, elevation change and incredibly good value golf. The sort of place we love most of all!
