290 – Course Diaries: Glasgow Golf Club

Founded in 1787, Glasgow is among the oldest clubs in the world, and - uniquely - is the custodian of two courses over 30 miles apart; Killermont in the city centre is its most recent site where the members play much of their golf, as well as the club's own links course on the west coast of Scotland, Glasgow Gailes. Sam is joined by one of the most revered historians of the game and winner of the Murdoch Medal - Nevin McGhee to talk about the last 237 years of history of Glasgow Golf Club - and his book 'Anent Golf'. 289 – Tour Diaries: A Floridian Adventure pt 2 w/ Ryan Noades

Sam, Tom and Ryan continue to outstay their welcome on the terrace at Winter Park as they wrap up their adventures from America. In part II, we cover some of Florida's private scene after the arctic blast left snow in South Carolina, so we headed to warmer climbs in West Palm Beach to visit Bear Lakes and Pine Tree, as well as our time at TPC Sawgrass and Winter Park. This episode contains a full hit of more contemporary architecture, from Nicklaus designs at Bear lakes, Dick Wilson at Pine Tree, Pete Dye at Sawgrass and the rennovation by Keith Rhebb and Riley Johns at Winter Park. Stay tuned for some film content from Sawgrass and Winter Park in the coming weeks! Special thanks to FootJoy, we finished up on well over 150 holes on this trip and the Premiere's never felt like a grind! [...]

Rugby, Golf, and the Six Nations: A Grand Slam Tour with Clubs in Tow

There’s something poetic about the Six Nations. For me, the six nations always starts in the depths of the cold, dark winter. But as the weeks go by and the ever dwindling possibility of Wales winning the six nations fades, a new excitement arises. The dawning of the golf season. For whilst the six nations begins in February in Winter, it ends in April and the shoots of Spring emerge - indicating the beginning of grass growth, the longer days and the start of the golf season. The six nations also brings the clash of rugby titans, the pilgrimage to hallowed stadiums and the camaraderie of fans spilling out of pubs in the chill of early morning. But what if you packed your golf clubs alongside your match-day scarf? What if, between tries and tackles, you teed it up at some of the finest golf courses near each Six [...]

Afternoon Tee at Formby Ladies – 22nd August 2025

Our day at Formby Ladies was everything we hoped for and more. The course, a 5,300-yard heathland gem, was in brilliant condition. Fast greens, firm fairways, and that unmistakable Formby charm around every corner. We kicked things off in the newly refurbished clubhouse with a proper afternoon tea, which set the tone perfectly for a relaxed and friendly day out. Out on the course, there was plenty of good golf, a few heroic escapes from the heather, and a lot of laughs along the way. A reminder of exactly why Formby Ladies is one of our absolute favourites. Welcoming, beautifully kept, and full of character. A cracking day from start to finish.
