A slight twist on our usual films, we wanted to share the story of the 1922 Open Championship at Royal St. George’s. The Hagen win in 1922 ushered in a new era of American dominance in the professional game, with a gritty performance over his English and Scottish counterparts.

Credit due to Tom Clavin’s book ‘Sir Walter, The flamboyant life of Walter Hagen’, and in there he brilliantly describes the events as they unfolded with Bernard Darwin reporting from the fairways.
