A continued blog piece to coincide with our filming releases in The Netherlands... in partnership with Day 3 (Morning) - Kennemer Day 3 of the Tour began with a shrill 6am alarm. Nursing sore heads, we quickly got dressed and packed up the car. This was the only day of the Tour where we would (attempt to) fit in 36 holes at two different courses - Kennemer and Noordwijkse, and two of the Jar were doing so on a heavy dose of Calvados from the night before. Thanks to some motivational quotes and general man-management from Tom, we said farewell to the lovely Utrecht house and the rubber hit the road just before 7am. Netherlands Series – Kennemer Golf & Country Club
Our third instalment from our Netherlands Tour in partnership with FootJoy at the end of 2022 takes us to Kennemer Golf & Country Club a stones throw inland from the beaches of Zandvoort. During lockdown in 2020, Sam & his wife Harriet embarked on the unthinkable task of playing all links course in Britain. They created a live-in van which would serve as their tour bus, and set off in search of sandy soil on some of the most remote stretches of British coastline. Amazingly, after 3 years he completed his task and with a book on the way and his inspiration now feeding his work as a partner for Clayton DeVries & Pont as an architect, he sat own with us to record an Eclectic 18. this one however is with the courses that fly under the radar.
