West Byfleet Golf Club – Thursday 19th October
& Equipment Amnesty to Uganda
Limited Places Available
We’re back for the second edition of the Cookie Jar Retro Day. After such a great day at Minchinhampton in June, with persimmons, blades, hickories and some glorious retro threads on display, we’re excited to announce we’ll be hosting another at West Byfleet Golf Club on the 19th October. This time aroud, we’ve teamed up with James Day and the guys over at Sounder Golf!
Our events are always a lot of fun, and this will be a feast of nostalgic golf kit at one of the most underrated courses we’ve visited. This classic Abercromby layout, full of character and charm will provide the perfect setting for you to once again dust off your sets and enjoy a day of camaraderie and golf.
We’re delighted to also be running an equipment amnesty to Uganda. Entebbe Golf Club are running successful junior coaching programmes to develop the game of golf in Uganda, however shortages in equipment mean they need to share 1 club between 10 kids at times. This is a great way of making a big difference for those youngsters and will be a lot of fun in the process! So, if you have any clubs, balls and equipment that might be dormant in your loft, shed or garage, bring them along for donation to make a meaningful difference to those who are trying to take up the game.
Entry is £80 and this covers a breakfast, your green-fee and dinner, and you might clear out some of the golf-garb that’s been cluttering up your house in the process!
Breakfast will be served from 11.30am onwards with with tee times between 13.00-14.22. A retro-themed dinner will be served thereafter with a relaxed dress code.
